When you came here you weren’t clear.

When you brought slaves you weren’t clear.

When you lynched humans you were not clear.

You were desperate to live when you got here.

You also brought disease when you got here.

You also brought death when you got here.

You brought England, let’s be clear.

You were inmates when you got here.

You didn’t bring love when you got here.

You brought hatred and harm, let’s be clear.

This is a new world today we have here.

Except inmate ways truly remain here.

Daddies became Masters and Masters are clear.

They can sell their babies let’s be clear.

They can kill their sons without a tear.

We have something new abiding here.

We have love and hope now abiding here.

We still have murder living here.

Love now fights back, let’s be clear!

Finally, accountability is Here!

It’s about time, Let’s Be Clear.
