Fuchsia – Quatern

Like ballerinas dancing in the breeze,

the fuchsias tell us Summer has arrived,

they spin and pirouette with dainty ease,

and celebrate another year survived.

Captivated by their pink performance,

like ballerinas dancing in the breeze,

my Summer hanging baskets they enhance,

transported from their Caribbean seas.

A fair flower that’s guaranteed to please,

and forever hold my fascination,

like ballerinas dancing in the breeze,

as in some natural celebration.

They come in lots of pink and purple shades,

with so many varieties to tease,

they are vibrant, their colour never fades,

like ballerinas dancing in the breeze.

Prompt: Fuschia. Probably my favourite Summer flower.

Form: Quatern
