Choices

I knew I made the wrong choice but I chose strong character, ethics – I didn’t run away.

I braced myself and did the best I could – it turned out it was a huge, stinking, debacle.

I still hung in there until fate shined on me and I got away clean.

The next choices I made for love.

I loved those choices – they never loved me – that was their choices.

Anyway, they were not for forever but for a moment.

That moment is over now and I am into my “new world” by God.

Everything is alright

because I am where I was always meant to be

embracing a “life” that embraces, wants and adores me!

Everything is as it should be.

I stayed alcohol and dope free.

I gave people opportunities to come to love me.

I gave myself to embrace clarity.

I showed love to those who hate me.

I walked away from them regret free.

I ran to those who have always loved me

Who prayed for my liberty

Who planted olive trees for me

Who planted fig trees for me

Now we enjoy their shade merrily.
