It is now the last fiscal quarter of the year and I am contemplating 2010 – booking appointments, conferences and reminders for myself and after having an argument with a loved one over Yahoo Messenger for the last two days; I am thinking of what will come with 2010. I am looking forward to it…:
My list of new technologies to try:
- Skype
- iPhone
I want to try Skype as I was an ardent fan of Picture Tel. Well, not an ardent fan as there just wasn’t much else out there. Now, with Skype I can save money on travel and wear and tear on the old body.
iPhone is just cool looking – I am so over Blackberry. I have an acquaintance who is in love with his flip phone but I just don’t see the reason for it – additionally, this person can not articulate his reasonings although he is college educated – Big Down for the University of Utah – he should have attended Brigham Young instead. Now all he has is a $15.00 an hour baker job at Sara Lee, student loans, child support, a busted Mercedes SUV 2001 with a broken driver side transmission and really poor grammar. Still he loves his new flip phone. Yikes!
This year I tried out the new tiny laptop (ASUS eeE Series) it was good but the battery is holding less of the charge and the keyboard needs repair especially the mouse left click button. The resolution is still sound and the sound is still sound (yes, I know, lame – very lame). So, not a bad year for technology at least the ones I invested in.
So, Santa and I have a deal for new technology for 2010… Meanwhile, I am going to chow down on some pumpkin muffins right now as I await Halloween… Tricks and Tweets people!
