Stop It by Coletha Albert

youtube.com/watch

Stop expecting people

to be Gods

when they are humans

Stop expecting Satan

to tell the truth

when he is the Father of lies

Stop expecting yourself to be perfect

when you are a born sinner

Know that humans want pleasure and survival

and will do anything to get it

The sadness you feel

is caused by your refusal to give up the fantasy

God so loved the world

Humans do not

Satan does not

The fact that you forsake pleasure and will give yourself to save others

makes you the anomaly

You are the light of the world

You are the salt of the Earth

You are the spirit of the divine

Stop being disappointed that others are just what they are humans

They are not cruel

They are not evil

They are not anything but who God made them to be

humans

Their wants, thoughts and actions are normal

average

and not personal

Once you accept this

Your experience here will be less traumatic

Yes, your sisters are who they are

Make your decisions accordingly

Yes, your brother is who he is

Lest your responses reflect that

No one owes you anything

You owe yourself

Don’t give your life for anyone

Jesus Christ already did that

Protect your own life

This is your gift from GOD

It is priceless

If this was not so

Billionaires would not be paying so much money to stay alive

They want to live forever

Meanwhile, drug users through their mind, bodies and souls away everyday

Stop thinking others will change

They are who they are

Isn’t time that you be who you are?

Don’t fool yourself, stop it.

Most people want to use you for their own pleasure and comfort

They will lie, cheat and steal to extract this from you

Just know that is what they are doing

Then you will never be disappointed, manipulated or fooled ever again.

Love stories in movies are make believe

Stop looking at them as documentary films.

Armed with sobriety and reality you may run into someone just like you

And with time the love that God has for us all just might envelope you two

Not the love of money

Not the farce of ego

Not the disaster of the used and the user

The dealer and the addict

The parasite and its host

But the relationship that is of covenant and not the business contract.

When childhood and fairy tales end

Adult development and maturity can began

When honor and sobriety merge

Then true love is not governed by physical urge.

Everything becomes clear and the shackles of confusion sprout wings and fly away.
