Larimer County Below 6000 Feet/Northwest Weld County; Boulder And Jefferson Counties Below 6000 Feet/West Broomfield County; North Douglas County Below 6000 Feet/Denver/West Adams and Arapahoe Counties/East Broomfield County; Elbert/Central and East Douglas Counties Above 6000 Feet

* WHAT…Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph.
Localized gusts up to 75 mph possible for areas adjacent to the
foothills in Boulder and Jefferson Counties.

* WHERE…Fort Collins, Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver,
Denver, and Castle Rock.

* WHEN…Until 2 PM MST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few
power outages may result. Strong winds will likely lead to rapid
fire growth of any new fire.

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
