Reflections on Strikes, Violence, and Faith

(Denver, Colorado) This morning the air is crisp, cold with a brisk breeze from the Rocky Mountains. Today 25,000 port workers went on strike because they want better pay and benefits. Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu is bombing Lebanon trying to begin a war with Iran as the United States has a convicted felon running for president when a convicted felon can not even vote much less file to run for public office. On the community level, homelessness, HIV infections, drug addiction, mental illness, depravity, and civil rights violations against Black Americans is at an all time high. This is just the tip of the iceberg…

This morning, I open up The Denver Post to see the article, “Pope expels Denver priest, 9 others from Catholic movement in Peru over “sadistic” abuses”. (https://www.denverpost.com/2024/09/28/sodalitium-christianae-vitae-archdiocese-denver-daniel-cardo/)

I shed a tear because as I am changing into the person God has willed me to be, there is still a portion of my heart that longs for people to love God and love one another. It grieves me to know that humans can be so vile, cruel, and inhumane to one another. Why?

I know what it leads to. In the case of Cain, he was sent away from his parents into the world on his own. In the case of Absalom disrespecting his father David, he lost his life and in such a horrific way. It goes on and on throughout the texts of the Bible. So many warnings… I am with Habakkuk in stating, “Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. the wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.

Yet…

The LORD’S Reply:

The LORD replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it. I am raising up the Babylonians, a cruel and violent people. They will march across the world and conquer other lands. They are notorious for their cruelty and do whatever they like. Their horses are swifter than cheetahs and fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their charioteers charge from far away. Like eagles, they swoop down to devour their prey.

On they come, all bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind, sweeping captives ahead of them like sand. They scoff at kings and princes and scorn all their fortresses. They simply pile ramps of earth against their walls and capture them! They sweep past like the wind and are gone. But they are deeply guilty, for their own strength is their god.”

Then…

Habakkuk’s Second Complaint:

“O LORD my GOD, my HOLY ONE, YOU who are eternal – surely YOU do not plan to wipe us out? O LORD, our ROCK, YOU have sent these Babylonians to correct us, to punish us for our many sins. But YOU are pure and cannot stand the sight of evil. Will YOU wink at their treachery? Should YOU be silent while the wicked swallow p people more righteous than they? Are we only fish to be caught and killed? Are we only sea creatures that have no leader? Must we be strung up on their hooks and caught in their nets while they rejoice and celebrate? Then they will worship their nets and burn incense in front of them. “These nets are the gods who have made us rich!” they will claim.

Will YOU let them get away with this forever? Will they succeed forever in their heartless conquests?” (Habakkuk Chapter One)

Dear Pope Francis, your decision to remove these cruel men answers the question to our LORD, ” Will you let them get away with this forever?”

The answer is a resounding NO! God bless and keep you forever, through the blood of Yeshua of Nazareth I pray. Amen.

O God, Shepherd and Ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on Your servant Francis,
whom you have set at the head of Your Church as her shepherd;

Grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Beloved Son,
with Whom You are well pleased, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, The Alpha and The Omega for ever and ever.

Amen.

My prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I commend all the concerns of my soul into Your hands. I lay the United States of America before Your Feet as You sit upon Your Throne. You know all things and my faith and trust is in You and You alone. Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, I know that nothing is too hard for You not even Israel and Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, have Your Way O LORD and let YOUR Will be done – In my heart, I want Israel utterly destroyed from this earth now and forever as they have been a purveyor of evil and more evil for decades and decades upon the earth! Yet, not my will but Thy Will be done regarding these Zionist who call themselves the Jews but are NOT. They are the synagogue of Satan and America has been funding them all this time! It’s a disgrace! For on the USA money is the inscription “In God We Trust” – it’s a mockery of You LORD, redeem Your Name and Your People YahWeh!!! (Revelation 3:9) Precious LORD, I submit the upcoming election to Your Will and I understand that YOU cause all things to happen for my good. I know that YOU want to prosper me and give me a life. I know that Satan is the father of lies and not YOU. YOU can not tell a lie. So, with this faith, I know that whomever sits in the position of President of the United States I will not be harmed because YOU keep your promises and Psalm 91 says that I will be safe. However, Dear LORD, I ask that Kamala Harris wins the election because Truth and Wisdom will stand up in the streets, valleys, mountains, and hills of the United States. I rebuke the “cup” that is clean on the outside but inside is full of everything unholy and unclean. And finally my Dear Precious Emmanuel, please reward Your People, Black Americans. No people have suffered as they have yet it is obvious that YOU are with them. YOU bless them every second and though they suffer daily and are unjustly treated, used, stolen from and lied upon – they forgive, yet they are suffering – they turn the other cheek and are murdered like dogs in the street – they love everyone, yet they are hated all the more – they serve and give, yet they are persecuted and stolen from all the more. Dear Precious Emmanuel, please remember Your People and let Your Wrath subside from them. Remember that they are YOUR children and not dogs in the street. YOU know their hearts and souls – how they have endured suffering so long, they believe that suffering and sacrifice is YOUR Will and YOUR Way. O Yehovah Yireh, please heal now Black Americans no matter where they are and when they are O LORD – wash them, deliver them, see them and love them again because YOU ARE THE ALMIGHTY GOD. Take them out of the mouths of Leviathan and bring them back to YOU in peace and safety in agape’ once and forevermore. Through YOUR Beloved Son, Yeshua of Nazareth I pray. Amen Amen Amen.

Thank you for reading this complete article. This is truly a labor of love from my heart. All of my writing means so much to me. Some days there is just a blinding typhoon of emotions within me. It troubles my spirit so I pray. It makes me sad, so I pray. It makes me weep, so I commend those tears to the feet of the cross and take up the cross of Yeshua. I go on knowing I am not alone because in my worst days, I am carried. I know that I am loved. Do you know that you are? Do you know that the ALMIGHTY GOD is just a whisper away from you? Do you know that you are worth many sparrows and that the number of hairs on your head is known by THE CREATOR OF ALL WE SEE, KNOW AND DON’T SEE AND CAN NEVER KNOW?

Do you feel that? That is Holy Spirit hugging you and soothing you and helping you…Thank you for reading and supporting my purpose in this world. I pray Adonai, keeps you and me always because we love Him and there is no other place we would rather be than carried by Him, and being known by Him. Selah.

  1. The world had become ugly my friend. I try to stay positive for the family and the grandchildren. I hope and pray for good men and women to lead our world. Strong and worthwhile words and thoughts shared.
