In my opinion, Boys II Men were a quality group who performed songs like Mama. I also love and remember “Dear Momma” by Tupac. Today, I realized that I am the Mother I always needed, admired, and longed for. That’s how life is. When you least expect it, truths and guidance with understanding will happen. It’s amazing really. All the songs I have sung. All the longings in my heart. What I wanted most in my life was ALWAYS me. I was everything I longed for. Can you imagine?
What do you want in this life?
What do you want to see in others?
Well, the only way you know it’s possible is because YOU can do all those things. I think about all the frustrated lovers in the world:
- They want loyalty
- They want security
- They want romance
- They want kindness
- They want admiration
- They want a clever lover
- They want someone to put them first
- They want to be the priority
- They don’t want to be used
Yet…
- They are not loyal to themselves
- They threaten their own security by putting themselves out for someone who could care less
- They never buy themselves flowers, jewelry, etc…
- They are unkind in words and deeds to themselves
- They do not admire their own life journey
- They “play dumb” in their own lives: “Why is this happening to me? Why are you hurting me? Why don’t you love me?” You. Know. Why. Because you are failing yourself.
- They acquiesce to what others want instead of making themselves the priority
- What do YOU want? Why did you trade innocence for money? Did you think this would net you love and security? How do you feel knowing you actually cheated yourself?
- They allow themselves to be used in every way because they do see their own value.
So…
With all of that going on internally…what will manifest externally? Garbage in, garbage out – conversely – Garbage without equals garbage within.
And then…
What does a person allow into their existence? Are you aware that what is around you is within you?
What do you allow around you? Take a good look.
