Looking For Jesus In the Old Testament

I met the author of this title on my way out of Washington State. He and his wife prayed over me and my journey. As I go on with my journey in this adventure called life, I feel their prayers still covering me.

All moments in my life have been blessed and filled with God’s Holy Spirit completely. I look back and can see God’s hand over my life so clearly. This is a blessing. Amen. “Be still and KNOW that I AM GOD.” All the jobs that didn’t hire me. All the family members who reached out their “hands” to cause me injury, harm, embarrassment, and pain – all the churches who did or did not see Elohim in me (or maybe they did) I owe a debt of gratitude. Why?

I never had another “god” before Elohim.

Every failure of a system, a human, even myself reinforced in my soul that my only allegiance is to my Divine, Majestic Creator alone.

Money is not my savior.

Family is not my savior.

My employer is not my savior.

My president is not my savior.

My education is not my savior.

Who are you leaning on today, in this moment? Where have you put your faith in? Who is your friend?

I was asked this question last week and I was ashamed of the people who asked me this. “What a Friend we have in Jesus” right?? These were Christians who asked me this question. I was embarrassed for them and myself for “knowing”. My GOD showed me who I was NOT speaking to.

This is my prayer answered. The ability to divine God’s people over those who “profess to be believers in Jesus Christ but are not…” Amen. Everything that I am, everything that I know, every moment I live is what Elohim has declared. If Elohim has not declared it – I don’t want it.

When Elohim blesses you, there is peace.

When Elohim blesses you, there is security.

When Elohim blesses you, there is no degradation.

When Elohim blesses you, there is holiness.

When Elohim blesses you, there is safety.

Amen.

When Satan “blesses” – it is a trap.

Satan wants to prove how weak your faith is in Elohim.

Satan wants to prove that you do NOT love.

Satan wants to prove that you are his child – a liar.

This is Satan’s job and he does not take PTO.

If you really love Elohim, you have nothing to fear. With this faith, you tread upon snakes, liars, and imbeciles. All of these know that Elohim is real and the rewarder of your love and faith.

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” And Jesus answered him, “It is written,

“‘You shall worship the Lord your God,
and him only shall you serve.
’”

And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written,

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
    to guard you,’

11 and

“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

12 And Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.

Luke 4:1-13 ESV The Temptation of Jesus Christ

Rebuke Satan and he will flee.

Seek first the Kingdom and God’s righteousness and all these other things will be added to you.

Pray without ceasing, when you rise, throughout your day, and when you recline at night.

Sow fruits of the spirit and not the flesh.

Go where Elohim leads you knowing that the way has been prepared for you.

Rebuke the machinations of all Devils and accept that Elohim wants to bless you, prosper you, protect you, and honor you because you love Him. Who caused your heart to love Elohim?? ELOHIM.

Live in the Glory of Elohim forever. Selah.

  1. The Old Testament was written with honest pen. Men have been fighting for 4,000 years. Jesus and the New Testament taught us forgiveness and no violence. We must remember Jesus protected and love the lowest of people. He taught us love and kindness. I am disappointed in our leaders in Washington who yelled hate and separation. And saying they are Christian people. If Jesus came to us today. We would break his heart. I live in the Detroit area. So many good people help the poor and we don’t judge. When I joined the Army at eighteen. I learn about racism. Here in Detroit. We been a mix-up community for my lifetime. In the Army. No racism was allowed. We were soldiers. We stood shoulder to shoulder in war or peace time. I enjoyed your words and thoughts. Here in the North. We feed the children and take care of the poor. We allow our teachers to teach. Good afternoon from Michigan.
