The song that got me out of my desk chair today is:

In this video, the baby faced Adele is gone completely. This is the “kick rocks” anthem for me. Get to stepping.

The lyrics are matter of fact and to the point. What rocks my socks off is the beat and rhythm. The music is clearly upbeat and screams “Party Over Here!!!” The tempo is deliberate which I am all about!

When this song comes to an end, I feel like I climbed every beat to my heaven, a world without him.

As Adele sings, the beat is taking me higher and higher up, up and away from this relationship and this person.

With the pauses, I catch my breath as I ascend… The lyrics says, “Grow up.” Perhaps he has come back and pleading his case for a lifetime together yet her face states matter of factly: It ain’t gonna happen.

She sings, ” We gotta let go of all those ghosts. We both know we ain’t kids no more.”

That is British for “Bye Felicia.”

Then to affix the seal to close the past Adele gives some sage advice, “Send my love to your new lover. Treat her better.”

It’s over. Have some dignity, leave, and never come back.

Decked out in a floor-length floral Dolce & Gabbana gown, the video starts out simple enough with the singer standing alone against a black background. It provides the perfect backdrop for this lighthearted kiss-off to her ex. The video answers the prayers of many who had been hoping the Max Martin-produced song would get an official release ever since her third-album, 25, dropped last fall. Directed by Patrick Daughters, the video showcases the gradual loosening up of the 28 year-old, who has always dressed and read older than her age. She even breaks out in a few dance moves in the clip, a departure from the solemn figure she often cuts in her videos.
