Message to Tosh, Remembering Joseph Dwayne Albert

Congratulations on everything you have accomplished in your life!

You are an inspiration! Just keep on keeping on!

I went to the website to find out who is on the Human Services Advisory Board now. When Mayor Eckberg appointed me there was some movement.

That was 2016… I didn’t serve my whole term and no longer live in Tukwila. The “writing was on the wall” for me there and I decided to “get, while the getting was good”.  I used to live in a trailer right near Foster High School.   Then I “moved on up” to Airmark Apartments even though it was a studio on the 11th floor. 😃   I ran for City Council position 5 against Zak Idan.  Zak was the favorite and won that role.  I think 99 voters chose me! LOL!

So, I did what I could do by God.  Then the pandemic hit; that was my wake up call. I took some courses at Harvard and Cornell  – what a reception I received!  In Tukwila, I was treated like scum of the earth.  I felt unwanted, unappreciated, and suppressed.  What Ms. Tukwila taught me is where I do not belong and I love her for that forever! The Duwamish Tribe is a teacher.  You are on sacred ground in Tukwila and if you allow it you will learned and be blessed there.  I am who I am today because I met an angel in Tukwila.  The angel said, this place is not for you but it is here that I will heal you.  The angel of Tukwila allowed me to see myself and know who I am.

I just wanted love, family, a community that I could serve and be accepted.  I don’t drink Fire Ball Whiskey so Tukwila ain’t the place for me! You know my son Joseph is buried in Tukwila at Riverton Crest Cemetery since 2013 – I think he had been drinking Fire Ball Whiskey when he was allowed to die on the streets of Seattle. The rub is my son didn’t love nor respect me because I have never had money.  I was humble. I worked hard.  That led me to homelessness and poverty, a price I paid as long as we were together.  I have always known there are worse things in this life than being honorable and humble.

In one week, my son would have had his 32nd birthday.  He was murdered 10 years ago this year. His remains have laid in Tukwila soil for 10 whole years. It breaks my heart and he hated me because he wanted the same as me; love, family, a community that he could serve and be accepted. He gave everything to be accepted even his own mother.  I surrendered nothing.  I learned and “graduated” to the life I have now.

Everyone who was meant to, saw me get my “Degree”, even my son Joseph. I pray that we all excel on the path that is destined for us. Selah.

No one’s path is an easy road…

…A feeling of self-worth (everybody’s looking)
Will caress U (for the answers)
The size of the whole wide world will decrease (how the story started)
(And how it will end)
The love of God’s creation will undress U
And time spent alone my friend, will cease

Everybody’s looking 4 the answers
How the story started and how it will end
What’s the use in half a story, half a dream
U have 2 climb all of the steps in between (yeah, we ride)

Everybody’s looking 4 the ladder
Everybody wants salvation of the soul
The steps U take are no easy road (the steps you take are no easy road)
(It’s not that easy)
But the reward is great
4 those who want 2 go (I do)

Everybody… everybody’s looking (Everybody’s looking 4 the answers)
For the answers
Everybody wants to know how the story (How the story started)
Started and how it will end (started and how it will end)
What’s the use in half a story, (What’s the use in half a story)
Half a dream (half of a dream)
U, U gotta climb, U gotta climb (U have 2 climb all)
All of the steps in between (the steps in between)…

The Ladder, Around The World In A Day, Prince | The Revolution

Once upon a time in the land of Sinaplenty
There lived a king who didn’t deserve 2 be
He knew not where he came from
Nor where he was going
He never once said thank U, never please

Now this king he had a subject named Electra
Who loved him with a passion, uncontested
4 him each day she had a smile
But it didn’t matter
The king was looking 4 the ladder…

The Ladder, Around The World In A Day, Prince | The Revolution

We all go on with our own destined path.

For Peace, For Faith to Increase, Keep Praying

“I come before you, O Lord. As the sun rises, may your hope rise up in me. As the birds sing, let your love flow out of me. As the light floods into this new day, may your joy shine through me. I come before you, O Lord And drink in this moment of peace, That I may carry something of your hope, love, and joy today in my heart. Amen.” – Author Unknown

Take Me To The King

I don’t have much to bring

My heart is torn in pieces

It’s my offering

Take Me To The King

Truth is I’m tired

Options are few I’m trying to pray

But where are you?

I’m all churched out

Hurt and abused

I can’t fake

What’s left to do?

Truth is I’m weak

No strength to fight

No tears to cry

Even if I tried

But still my soul

Refuses to die

One touch will change my life

Take Me To The King

I don’t have much to bring

My heart’s torn into pieces

It’s my offering Lay me at the throne Leave me there alone

To gaze upon Your glory And sing to You this song

Please Take Me To The King Truth is it’s time

To stop playing these games

We need a word For the people’s pain

So Lord speak right now Let it fall like rain We’re desperate

We’re chasing after you No rules, no religion

I’ve made my decision To run to You The healer that I need

Take Me To The King I don’t have much to bring

My heart’s torn to pieces It’s my offering Lay me at the throne

Leave me there alone To gaze upon Your glory

And to sing to You this song

Take Me To The Lord we’re in the way

We keep making mistakes Glory is not for us Its all for You

Take Me To The King I don’t have much to bring

My heart’s torn to pieces It’s my offering

Lay me at the throne Leave me there alone

To gaze upon Your glory And sing to You this song

Take Me To The King Take Me To The King Take Me To The King

You hear me when I call and you saved my soul – That’s a miracle! Agape’

All my life, I’ve been carried by grace
Don’t ask me how ’cause I can’t explain
It’s nothing short of a miracle I’m here

I’ve got some blessings that I don’t deserve
I’ve got some scars, but that’s how you learn
It’s nothing short of a miracle I’m here

I think it over and it doesn’t add up
I know it comes from above

I’ve got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

You held me steady so I wouldn’t give up
You opened doors that nobody could shut
I hope I never get over what You’ve done

I wanna live with an open heart
I wanna live like I know who You are
I hope I never get over what You’ve done

It’s not coincidence and it’s not luck
I know it comes from above

I’ve got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

Miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all
I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all
I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

Yeah, I can’t even count ’em all (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
I try and I can’t keep up (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Yeah, I can’t even count ’em all (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Count ’em (one, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all)

Like when You healed my mother (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
When You redeemed my father (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Even in the death of my brother (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
You were closer than no other (one, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all)

Oh, You broke my chains (I can’t even)
You saved my life (I can’t even count ’em all)
You set me free (I can’t even)
You gave me victory (I can’t even count ’em all)
Oh, I can’t even count ’em all (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
You kept my mind, Lord (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)

You healed my body, Jesus (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Oh, I can’t even count ’em all (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
I try and I can’t keep up (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
‘Cause every day there’s a new miracle (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)

I got breath in my lungs (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
I got clothes on my back (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
My mother would say, I got food on my table
(I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Lord, I know that You’re able (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)

Say, I can’t even (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
I can’t even (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
I can’t even (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)
Too many to count (I can’t even, I can’t even count ’em all)

I’ve got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

Miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Thank you Jesus for the miracles on miracles
Count your miracles (one)
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all

Every day, there’s a miracle
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all
Last time, right here
One, two, three, four, I can’t even count ’em all
