He called to Death
Death answered
He left us all behind
He went selling drugs in the street
It was just a matter of time
Selling Death to others
Death took him
He left us all behind
He wanted to Die
In all ways he tried
He made the police
Part of his suicide
He made EMS
Part of his suicide
He made the community
Part of his suicide
Death claimed him
He left us all behind
He didn’t even know because he was high
It was hours before he knew he had finally died
Even now every day he’s by my side
Every where I go he’s by my side
He’s in yours, mine and the cat’s lives
He believes he never left us behind
We watch him on videos
Through pictures we look into his eyes
We see the pain he was in when he was alive
The pain he wouldn’t face
The pain he tried to hide
He’s free now and every moment by our side
In the spirit he never left our side
He wants us to go on living our lives
In God’s Mercy and Grace
Until we see each other again
Face to face.

I know he’s in “a better place”
I know he knows we miss him everyday.
This life is what it is, even on a “bad” day – it will be okay. Keep living anyway.
