A Poem by Coletha Albert: This is Success

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and avoid the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

To survive a cursed family

To have been anointed by an anointed

To have walked with Arch Angels

To have entertained angels unaware

To have been shown mercy to the merciful

To have shown goodness to the good

To have survived machinations unaware

To have loved the lovely

To have seen the beauty of the beautiful

To have been grateful to the grateful

To have seen what on spirit can see

To be in the presence of the immortal and been embraced

To have been comforted by your beloved

To have been loyal to the loyal

To have been kind to the kind

To have been blessed by the cursed

To have been protected by the evil

To have been protected by the predator

To have been given blood by the blood sucker

To have been given life by the hand of the dead

THIS is success

I love you but much more importantly Elohim adores you. Selah.

Keep praying and Keep Going Anyway – Your feelings don’t change God’s plans nor His love for you and me.

3 months ago I can’t explain just how much pain this life has given. Came across this song and I just cried. Thank you for whatever this man was called to in his life to endure that made him write this song. I m in deep grief and I simply miss this person terribly.

Keep going anyway.
