Safety First – Travelers Checks work

Years ago, when T-Rex roamed free and I was a cashier at Sam’s Wholesale Club members would come through my line. They would say, “I am going on a trip and I need Traveler’s Checks. ”

I would get all the data and they would take the receipt to the membership desk and be on their way.

A month or so later they would come back through my line looking happy and rested. Usually they had a T-shirt or a mug or a poster for me to say thanks for helping them. Every time they went out of town they came to me.

LaQuinta Inn? I have never stayed in one. The only “Inn” I would recommend is The Holiday Inn. They are pricey but you get what you pay for and Holiday Inn is the ONE all the other inns imitate.

If you want to really help other consumers file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online.

Bottom line: Never travel with cash. Keep wallets in a Fanny pack always on you. Leave nothing valuable in the hotel room, even at The Ritz, that’s why they have safes for guests. Travelers insurance is also a great investment BUT NOT WITH AIG! You want The Hartford.
