Update II: I am watching Slumberland again and at 1:04:15, if you pause it, Jason was knocked unconscious. The scene cuts but they did not cut it soon enough for me not to catch it. Looks like the little girl had on a seatbelt but Jason did not. Before the cut he actually slumped over onto the little girl. He was definitely unconscious. That was NOT acting. With a little digging all I found was:

Now there is a dailymotion interview about the truck scene where Jason was hurt but the interview does NOT cover this part of that scene. Update: I have seen Slumberland and I must tell you, it’s not what I thought it would be after viewing the trailer.
I am going to watch it again but I will say it’s about two brothers who were very bad at communicating with each other. Also, I think it’s about helping your family on their life path even when they forget who they are – we are supposed to help them remember…
