Okay so, I was minding my own business when a TikToker sent me their video admonishing me to watch “Inventing Anna” on Netflix. Netflix had suggested the series but I was not interested. I mean, an American putting on airs. Perish the thought. Right?

The crux of this show seems to be one thing: Trust

This is an issue that is very relatable. Poor or rich, new money or old money; who can you trust? You think that if you are a good person, you have worked super hard other people would respect that. It’s not that way. There are these kind of people that will cross your path who have sharp edges. They are predators. They have no conscious. They don’t feel remorse. When they come near you you can “sense” them tasting your aura. That’s how they decide who to target; whomever they desire to. Which is redundant because they are always “hungry” and anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time without defense is on “the menu”.

I am in the middle of Episode 1 and wondering why is there so much conflict among writers, editors and the assignment desk? “Scriberia” where they send old writers to die. “Life of a VIP” ain’t what it’s cracked up to be. “Couple of more months and she’ll be out on maternity leave.”

Is it New York? Is it what happens to women in the workplace? Is it just adult life where every moment awake is a struggle and in the end you die?

Anna Delvey is based on a real story. Can you believe that? I just can NOT. I mean, is Anna Delvey CIA or something? As I watch the character on the screen this Anna seems very condescending.
