Dear Greg,
I am sorry to hear about your accident but I admire your courage in the face of such a tragedy. I too was born in Texas as were my parents, grandparents and great grandparents. My family tree is battered and bruised by misfortune, tragedy, and wasted potential. While I also value strength, perseverance, and independence… dignity, integrity and responsibility are also the mantle I carry every moment of my life. While I prayed that Texas would embrace me, support me, and provide safety for me to progress and excel – it did not.

I was attacked on every side in Texas; at home, at church, and at school.
I knew no peace or safety in Texas even moreso dignity was not found there. Texas is a representation of oppression and misery to me. Texas reminds me of an island where the rulers of the state sacrifice their best and brightest to the monster so that the monster will leave the others alone. I feel Texas leaders have done this for generations and finally the rubber is meeting the road. Amen, Texas has made their bed hard and there is no hope for change any longer. While Houston, Tomball, and Corpus Christi has done “something” over the years those strides have been far too little. So many beautifully talented Texans mistreated and even killed outright for being a great sacrifice for their beauty, innocence, and strength.

I have been preserved all of these years and allowed to see places where the best and the brightest are protected instead of sacrificed.
And so, I will tell you this…what Texas has wrought Texas must pay. Amen. Even what the leaders of Texas are planning now I encourage humility for something greater than the entire state of Texas is about to take place. The actions being planned now will mark the utter death of a great many things. Pride does come before a fall and whom the gods seek to destroy first they make proud. Amen. How can Texas stand flat footed and clear eyed before all the death and degradation they have caused their own native born people? Where is the heart and soul of Texas? Sacrificed? If so, for what? An existence that was by the grace of God allotted. All of the hate, evil, and sacrifices were not the will of God but the will of man – non Texans. Amen, it was the will of leaders of other states who pressed upon Texas leaders and those leaders stumbled and fell.
Even so it’s not falling that dictates the soul of Texas but how Texas gets back up, dusts herself off and gets back on the horse. Texas Tough. That ability, that grit, that toughness comes from God’s Holy Spirit. Texas Leaders have lost their way. Texas now has faith in money, in false pride, in politics, in control – it’s the tower of Babel all over again, it is the garden of Eden all over again, it is the fall of Israel all over again…

Can Texas find her way again? Of course… for “in my Father’s house there are many abodes…” My question is: Is Texas a house of holiness or unholiness? By my experiences, I find Texas a den of inequity and a house of thieves… All of the little Texans raped, killed, and neglected even to this day… I know because I was one. Even into motherhood, I and my child died at Hermann Hospital through neglect in 1991. I feared labor and delivery in Texas so much I choose abortion from then on – now illegal in Texas isn’t it… so many decisions I made because Texas gave me no choices. Texas tried to destroy me and in my later life I look back upon my survival and sometimes I scream in terror. I know I am alive today by the Grace of God alone and not by the hands of Texas or Texans.
With my soul I hope for Texas. With my mouth I beg Texans to change and do better to their resounding laughter. I am writing to tell you this moment that what Texas leaders have done has returned to them. While I feel so much hurt for Texas and Texans I bow to God’s Will… Amen. Adonai, if there be a way to help Texas, I ask for help and healing (fasting and prayer) but not my will but Thy Will be done. Selah…

My cousin Greg, I pray for you. I pray for us. Still, as I know that white doctors killed me and my son Joseph in the Medical Center in Houston but GOD. Still, as Houston Police Department and Municipal Courts constantly harassed me and locked me up for being a poor single mother and my children were traumatized without me – but GOD. Still, as my family, friends, teachers, Christians, and employers turned their backs on me and threw me and my children away – but GOD. Even so through my current work I know there miseries of other places like India, Germany, Nigeria, Indonesia, Thailand… but Texas is where I was born and faced death and degradation too many times to count…
I know the tragedy that you mentioned is not the lone one of your life. I am praying for you. I am praying for us. It has been so difficult for me through out my life but GOD has been kind. GOD’s Mercy is my Life and my LOVE. Please know that in our toughest times it was GOD who carried us… yes us. I don’t know how long GOD has for me to be here but I do believe in this moment that I am here to write these words to you today.

I am determined to align myself with GOD’s WILL and nothing more. I am humble and know that this is God’s world and not my own. I know that my life is like a blade of grass… that removes a lot of worry off of me… I will continue to trust in The LORD and stand still and see the Glory of GOD for my enemies whom I see today, I will never see again, no never again for THE LORD HIMSELF will fight for me and I myself shall be silent.
