Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed one of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was hungry, and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me water to drink.
I was a stranger and you took me in.
I was naked and you clothed me.
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
Then shall The Righteous answer him saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, and fed you? Or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and took you in? Or naked and clothed you? And when did we see you sick, or in prison, and came to you?
And The King shall answer:
Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you did it unto the least one of these my brothers – you did it to me. (Matthew 25: 34-40)
This is my Story
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.
Refrain:
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect communion, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight.
Angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love. [Refrain]
Perfect submission, all is at rest.
I in my Savior am happy and bless’d,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love. [Refrain]

Beloved, let us seek comfort in the Word of God, giving heed to the Bible description of a good woman:
“A worthy woman who can find? for her price is far above rubies. the heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no lack of gain. she doeth him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeeth wool and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchantships; she bringeth her bread from afar. she riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth food to her household, and their task to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it; with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength and maketh strong her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is profitable; her lamp goeth not out by night. She layeth her hand on the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She stretcheth our her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31: 10-30)
If we would be comforted in the Word of God’s care for his own, let us heed:
“ Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.” (Job 5: 17-26)
If we would be comforted in the thought of the future of God’s saints, let us heed:
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” Revelations 21: 1-7
Having heard God speaking to us in his Word, et us now take our sorrow to him, beings assured that he will hear us by the following blessed words:
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded…Humble yourselves in the sight of the lord, and he shall exalt you.” (James 4: 8, 10)
Prayer
I pray that the weights on Black women’s plates are lightened. That instead, our cups are filled to the brim with all of the joy and peace that our mere existence deserves.
I pray that our arms raise music of our own hips, the metronome of our feet, the scores of our hums. That our laughs and snaps fuel the drumming of our hearts.
I pray that we feel no need for the validation of those who are not our own. That we are constantly reminded of the prophetic nature of our own minds.
I pray that we Black women feel at home in our own celebrations of our majesty. That the love we offer ourselves and the world is shone back onto us by the sun and the moon, and poured back into us by the hands we hold. I pray that Black women, in this week and in every lifetime, grant ourselves permission to settle into our own expansiveness.
That we bestow upon ourselves the key that only we have held through time.
I pray most of all that we find peace in our breath. And power in our declarations. Wishing Black women an eternity of rest and rejuvenation.
I pray that the weight on our plates is lightened and that instead, our cups are filled to the brim with all of the joy and peace that our mere existence deserves 💫— Black Girl Culture
Blessed One Hymnal
Peace O bright Mother of Mercy
So pure and so brave
We honour your virtue
And dignity praise
Every angel salutes you,
The Earth calls you blessed.
We look to you Mother,
For mercy and rest
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Blessed one
God exalted you, daughter,
And called you in time
To offer your womb,
To bring forth the Divine
You were willing to serve
Though you knew not a man
You trusted in God
And said “Yes” to His plan
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Blessed one
Your consent to God’s Spirit
Was fruitful and free
Accepting God’s Son
In a great mystery
For the Lord, you remained ever
Virgin in faith
Delivered by doubt
And assisted by grace
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Blessed one
Now we hail you, O daughter
Of mercy and light
O pray we embrace peace
And good, love and right
You are splendid, enthroned
Above moon, star and Earth
O Queen of the Heavens
Your Son saved the world!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Blessed one
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Ave! Ave!
Blessed one

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.” (Revelations 14: 13)
Thou will guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee. My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73: 24-26)
“Now this I say, friends and family, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit in-corruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: we all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible shall have put on in-corruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
O Death, where is thy victory?
O Death, where is thy sting?
The sting of Death is sin; and the power of sin is the law: but Thanks be to GOD, who giveth us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore, my beloved friends, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is NOT IN VAIN in the LORD.” (1 Corinthians 15: 50-58)
Is My Living In Vain
Is my living in vain?
Is my giving in vain?
Is my praying in vain?
Is my fasting in vain?
Am I wasting my time?
Can the clock be rewind?
Have I let my light shine?
Have I made ninety-nine?
No, of course not!
It’s not all in vain
No, no Lord, no
‘Cause up the road is eternal gain!!
Is my praying in vain?
Is my labor in vain?
Is my singing in vain?
Is my speaking, is it in vain?
Is my playing the organ in vain?
Is my praying in vain?
Is my, is my, is my labor in vain?
Is my singing, singing, singing, in vain?
No, of course not
No, of course not

Is my, is my, is my labor in vain?
Is my singing, singing in vain?
I know I’m speaking in vain
Is my playin’ this organ in vain, at the temple
At the cathedral, at all these churches?
Is my praying, my praying, my praying, in vain?
Ooh! Is it in vain? Is it in vain?
Is it in vain? Is it in vain?
No it ain’t in vain
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no

It’s not all in vain
‘Cause up the road is eternal gain!!

My Friends: Whereas, Death hath once more invaded our ranks and removed from the walks of life our beloved Sister, her soul having departed to dwell in “The undiscovered country from which no traveler return,” it has become our sad duty to commit her body to the grave in decency and respect:
EARTH TO EARTH
ASHES TO ASHES
DUST TO DUST
AND OUR INSPIRING PRIVILEGE TO COMMEND HER SOUL TO OUR CREATOR, FATHER, AND REDEEMER, IN THE CONFIDENT HOPE OF THE COMING AGAIN OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, THE RESURRECTION OF THE BODY FROM THE GRAVE, AND THE JOYOUS LIFE RESERVED FOR THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT IN THE REALMS OF GLORY.
Benediction:
“May the peace of GOD – OUR FATHER, CREATOR and REDEEMER which passeth all understanding guard your hearts and your thoughts in CHRIST JESUS… NOW UNTO OUR GOD AND FATHER BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.” (Philippians 4: 7, 20)
There are some things that the police can not help you with. They are so afraid themselves and they have GOOD reason to be. Psalm 91 is so important. For those who think their money, the police, security guards, locked doors, the neighborhood they live in, their neighbors, etc…can help them – you are wrong. Let us ALL be humble and keep our faith where it SHOULD be: Elohim.
Death reminds me run to the altar to ask God to forgive me if I EVER put a powerful husband, money or anything before HIM. I hope to always remain loyal to The Creator and NOT my blessings from THE CREATOR.
Let us be reminded that Death will call for us ALL one day. Let us pray for a good death and that our souls be received by our Divine Creator in peace. Amen.
