I lived at Camp Victory and followed Safety Briefings like they were extinctions of the Bible. Additionally, I dated no one. I didn’t flirt with anyone. I did my job and tried to clean sand out of everything and drink enough water to prevent death by dehydration. I was far too tired for any shenanigans myself. However, my boss did say that he worked to keep me alive. He frowned on soldiers coming by his office UN-announced and when visitors from the Department of Defense were there he always sent me to work on another base. That was the way it was. I lived.
