Donald J. Trump has changed my life!

I love what I do daily.  I rise very early in the morning looking forward to the moment when I can begin my work. Why?  It is my mission, my purpose; to do what I love each and every day.

In this world, I am in the public each and every day.  As a Black woman, I am ignored, insulted or complimented. Have I noticed a difference in these interactions since this Presidential nomination season?  Yes, most definitely.

People are much more interactive and nice to me.  I have young strapping White men and adolescents checking me out at the Fred Meyer.  I have young tattoo wearing Black men singing to me in Walgreen’s. This morning I went to fill up my gas tank for next week’s work week and an older Latino man filled up my gas tank for me…This all put a smile on my face to say the least!

It is a welcome change and long overdue!  Why?

Well, I must say I have worked my derriere off for decades. I have been nice to nice people and reproved the “un-nice” people. I have refused to support drug users and booze hounds. I have attended church and reproved the minister too afraid of his bottom line to tell the truth to “the flock”.  I have been disappointed over and over at the disdain, greed and selfishness of co-workers, friends, colleagues, family and myself.

Yes, myself…I have worked so very hard believing that it would come back to ME.  I was angry by my son’s desire to depart this world at his appointed time because I WOULD MISS HIM.  I have been rigid in relationships with others because of their life choices and how they could impact ME.  Selfish, Selfish, Selfish…I even have been rigid with myself – standards, quality, perseverance, dignity and dedication.  I have staunchly REFUSED to mold myself into the “fashion” that others wanted me to be from my family to my supervisors.  Over and over I have paid for my obstinate stance with terminations, break ups, humiliation and degradation including evictions with threats.

Even my pastor deserted me when I stood over the coffin of my beloved son, Joseph Dwayne Albert, holding the hand of my silent beloved firstborn son, Jonathan D. Albert, Sr..  My pastor was not there.  Let me stand alone and let my internet church friends support me, and so they have in spirit and truth.

Now today as the greatest President to ever work in the Oval Office, His Grace, Barack H. Obama, prepares to make his exit I am being lauded at work, at home and in the “streets” of the Emerald City and I am glad about it!

Who knew that Donald J. Trump’s awful comments could impact my fellow Americans in this way:  They are joyous not to be Donald J. Trump!

And what a relief it must be  for my fellow Americans are HAPPY!  What a nice surprise!!
